When you need it
You have a lot and a plot plan, and the pad has to be right before anyone pours anything.
Excavation & Grading
Cut, fill, balance. We take a raw lot to a staked, compacted pad your framer can start on.
What's included
- Site strip, topsoil stockpile and haul-off
- Mass excavation, cut-to-fill balancing
- Building pad to ±0.10 ft of grade, compaction tested
- Rough and finish grade, driveway subgrade
- GPS machine control on lots over ½ acre
- 1200-C erosion control: silt fence, rock entry, inlet protection
When you need it
You're connecting a new build to the mains, or an old lateral finally gave up under the driveway.
Utility Trenching
Water, sewer, storm, power, gas and conduit — dug, bedded, tested and backfilled to spec.
What's included
- Water and sewer laterals from main to stub-out
- Storm lines, catch basins, drywells, roof drain tie-ins
- Dry utility joint trench — power, gas, comms conduit
- Sand or 3/4-minus bedding, compacted lifts, no soft spots
- Trench shoring and competent-person daily inspection
- Air and hydro testing, video, as-built ties for the city
When you need it
Pad's ready and the framer starts in two weeks. This is the pour that everything else is measured from.
Foundations & Footings
Footings, stem walls and slabs formed square, tied to plan, and poured on a schedule you can frame against.
What's included
- Footing excavation, forming and rebar per structural plans
- Stem walls, frost walls, thickened-edge and monolithic slabs
- Anchor bolts, hold-downs and embeds set to the template
- Vapor barrier, capillary break, under-slab utility coordination
- Damp-proofing and perimeter drain on stem-wall work
- Inspection scheduled and met — we stand the callback
When you need it
The old drive is spidered with cracks, or the new shop needs a slab that can hold a lift.
Concrete Flatwork
Driveways, shop slabs, patios, walks and approaches. Placed thick, jointed right, finished to last a winter.
What's included
- Driveways and RV pads — 5" over compacted 3/4-minus
- Shop, barn and garage slabs with fiber or mesh reinforcement
- Patios, walkways, stairs and ADA-compliant approaches
- Broom, salt, exposed aggregate and light-broom finishes
- Saw-cut control joints on a 10–12 ft grid, not guesswork
- Cure and seal, plus a written cure-and-care sheet
When you need it
Something has to come out before anything can go in — and the neighbors should barely notice.
Demolition & Site Clearing
Structures down, slabs out, brush cleared, everything sorted and hauled. The lot goes back to dirt.
What's included
- Residential and light-commercial structure demolition
- Concrete and asphalt removal, crushed and recycled where we can
- Brush, stump and blackberry clearing; tree grubbing
- Outbuilding, foundation and buried-tank removal
- Utility disconnect coordination and permit pulling
- Load sorting — clean fill, metal, wood, landfill kept separate
Also on the truck
The small stuff that still needs iron.
Half-day work we'll happily take on, usually bundled onto a job already in the neighborhood so you're not paying to move a machine.

Block and boulder walls to 4 ft without engineering.

Driveway approach culverts sized to county standard.

Detention, bio-swales, rain gardens.

Straw wattle, hydroseed, 1200-C inspections.

Blown lateral or sinkhole — we carry a spare crew.

Rock, sand, topsoil and bark delivered by the yard.
Straight answer
What we don't do
Decorative stamped and stained concrete, asphalt paving, septic system design, and structural engineering. We'll tell you that on the phone instead of subbing it out at a markup — and we keep a short list of the people in Salem we'd hire ourselves.
